The Abbey Sutton Courtenay

Retreat and Conference Centre

The Abbey is a unique medieval building, set in extensive grounds, tucked away in the small village of Sutton Courtenay, just 10 miles south of Oxford.  This extraordinary facility is used by individuals and groups from the public, private and voluntary sectors, and is as relevant to a private celebration as it is to a large corporate event - a peaceful yet creative setting that never ceases to inspire all who visit.

Volunteers Wanted

Could you spare a few hours to help out at The Abbey? We are looking for people who could commit to a few hours voluntary work each week and/or individuals we could call upon from time-to-time to help out on specific occasions. The work would include light cleaning, washing-up and general support around events and residential groups.

In return, we will provide a vegetarian lunch and plenty of tea and biscuits. For volunteers able to make a regular/ongoing commitment, we can also offer free entry to our Log Fire Evening Talks and possibly a free place on one of The Abbey’s Rest & Renewal Retreats.

For more details, please phone The Abbey on 01235 847401 and speak to Sally, or email
