Begins 29 Mar 2018 04:00 PM - Ends 1 Apr 2018 04:00 PM
The Abbey Easter Retreat offers you the chance to have an extended stay with us, from the afternoon of Maundy Thursday through to after lunch on Easter Sunday. You are welcome to arrive from 4pm, the Retreat will start with an evening meal at 6.30pm.
The Abbey provides a welcoming environment to simply stop and think, encouraging the development of a deeper connection to inner peace and guidance in contemplative silence. During the weekend the resident community will be providing delicious home cooked vegetarian/vegan meals, egg decorating, a few gentle activities, should you wish to partake, as well as longer afternoon periods where silence throughout the house will be observed. We will also connect through shared experiences such as daily silent meditation, shared meals, and conversations around the campfire.
We are delighted to have additional contributions to the retreat from dear friends of The Abbey, plant empath Alissa Pemberton and Interfaith Minister Adrian Rance-McGregor.
Alissa Pemberton of Wanderwoven will be joining us for the duration of the retreat, offering a guided Mindfulness Plant Walk for those interested in connecting to the awakening of spring in the Abbey grounds and within. She is also available for one to one plant oracle readings for those who wish to delve deeper into the energetics of plants and trees in relation to their own spiritual journey.
Adrian Rance-McGregor, a local Interfaith Minister, will be leading our service, open to all faiths and none, on Easter morning, exploring the theme of ‘Resurrection and Personal Transformation’.
The Easter Retreat offers a chance to reflect on the themes of this sacred time, recharge your energies and share joy in this beautiful nurturing space.
The cost for the Easter Retreat is £260
